West Ham and Everton battle to sign striker who could be available for £4.2million

According to reports, Everton and West Ham are both interested in signing Bobby Wood from Hamburg. The American international’s displays for both club and country have caught the attention of a few clubs.

With Hamburg currently aiming to avoid relegation, Wood will probably be keen to join a team that can offer him a better deal and may be keen to challenge himself in the English Premiership

If Hamburg are relegated from the Bundesliga, the 24-year-old will be allowed to leave for a bargain price of €5 million. However should they avoid the drop, he will cost in the region of €12 million.

With speculation linking Andy Carroll away from West Ham and RomeluLukaku away from Everton, both teams will be looking to add in forwards during the summer.

It is difficult to imagine Wood being a first choice forward for either team right away, however he could provide an extra option.
