Newcastle United reportedly set to agree deal for midfielder with Besiktas

Turkish source Fanatik, have claimed that Newcastle midfielder Daniel Barlaser could be set to move to Besiktas.

Though he was born in the United Kindgom, Barlaser is eligible to play for the Turkey through his father and represented the nation at under 16 and 17 level.

The 20-year-old was expected to be sent out on loan during the January transfer window in order to obtain match experience, however in the end manager Rafa Benitez decided against such a move due to the injury crisis affecting the club.

Berlaser is a regular member of the Magpies under 23 side, though he has yet to feature in the Championship. He did make his senior debut in the FA Cup in January and played the full ninety minutes as Benitez’s team claimed a 3-1 win.

With the player probably wanting to get more match experience, there is a good chance that he will be sent to the Turkish outfit.
