According to reports, Sunderland midfielder Jan Kirchhoff is a target of Turkish club Galatasary. The 26-year-old’s current deal with the Black Cats is set to expire at the end of the season and it is unlikely that he will be offered a new deal due to his injury problems.
The former Bayern Munich man helped Sunderland avoid relegation last season however he has failed to replicate the form of last season this term and made just seven appearances in the Premier League.
Kirchhoff is however reportedly high on the wanted list of Galatasary and is being viewed as a replacement for Nigel de Jong. The 34-year-old Dutchman is expected to leave the Turkish giants next season.
The Black Cats are struggling in the Premiership and it looks increasingly likely that they will be relegated at the end of the season. Kirchhoff is set to be one of many players to leave the club and many will be expected coming in during the summer.
