Sunderland manager David Moyes has admitted that his side’s match against Leicester City on Tuesday is a must win game if his side are to avoid relegation this season.
The Black Cats seem destined for relegation, having won only one of their past 12 Premier League matches.
They remain etched to last position on the Premier League standings and a loss against the in-form Leicester side will only serve to further diminish Sunderland’s faint hopes of avoiding the drop this season.
Moyes said, “There’s no time to dwell as we must go again on Tuesday – we pick ourselves up and I’ve told the players that. We wanted a win from one of these two games and we didn’t get it, we came close to getting something, but we’ll have to try and get it on Tuesday against Leicester now.”
Though the Black Cats successfully managed to avoid relegation in past seasons, it is difficult to see them doing so yet again. especially as they still have to face off against Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
