West Ham eyeing ambitious swoop for £33million striker

According to reports, West Ham United could be set to swoop for Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge last summer, the 23-year-old has struggled to find game time. The Daily Mail claim that the Hammers may wish to sign the Belgian international on a loan deal.

The Hammers were in the hunt for Batshuayi’s signature during his time at Marseille. Chelsea however won the race of his signature paying the French outfit a sum of £33 million.

It now appears that Slaven Bilic may be able to temporarily be able to utilize the player who he had wished to sign last summer.

Considering that Chelsea are not short of attacking options, with most of their current first team players in top form, they may consider letting Batshuayi go on loan to gain some match experience.

The Hammers will also need to find reinforcements given that their attack has been disappointing this season and with Andy Carroll expected to depart for China.
