According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland are interested in Hibernian’s John McGinn and David Moyes even went to watch him play last Friday night in person.

Moyes was present at Hibernian’s 1-0 win against Dundee United at Tannadice Park and many speculated that it was to watch McGinn.

The Black Cats are reportedly hoping to complete the signature of McGinn but may have to compete with West Bromwich Albion.

With Sunderland looking increasingly likely to be relegated next season and West Brom currently sitting comfortably in eighth position in the League, the Baggies may have an advantage in terms of signing the player unless they decide to pull out of doing so.

The 22 year old will reportedly only cost £1.5 million, which for any Premier League club is a bargain.  McGinn has been impressive this season playing 28 games and bagging 4 goals. His performances earned him a call up to the Scotland national team for their upcoming matches against Canada and Slovenia.
