Tottenham join Liverpool in the race for Spanish star; Available for £26.2 million

According to Marca, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides interested in Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa.

The 27 year old has established himself as one of the best players in La Liga for tackles, interceptions made and creating attacks from the back this season. Due to his fine performances, he will likely head to a new club at the end of the campaign.

Roque is reportedly set to receive a call up to the Spain national team and has also attracted the interest of Everton, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Reports have suggested that Roque has a £26.2 million release clause in his contract, though his club may be willing to let him go for half the amount should they get the offer.

In addition to now hitting peak, Mesa has a good amount of experience under his belt, having been a member of the first team squad at Estadio Gran Canaria since 2010. During the current season, he has amassed 25 appearances in all competitions.
