During an interview with Celtics website, midfielder Stuart Armstrong has thanked manager Brendan Rodgers for helping him achieve fine form this season.
Since the arrival of Rodgers, Armstrong has grown in confidence and become an important member of the Bhoys team. Notably, he managed to bag the goal which earned his team a draw against Rangers during the weekend.
The 24 year old’s displays for his club have earned him a call up to the Scotland national team and he will be expected to make his international debut during the upcoming international break.
The Scotland international said of the influence of Rodgers, “Since he came in, we had the initial conversation at the start of the season and how he wanted me to go about my business at Celtic.
“That really spurred me on and gave me a great platform and opportunity to work my way into the side and play in my favoured position.”
