Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has criticized Roberto Martinez for the job he did while managing Everton.
The Toffees sacked Martinez in May 2016 after three years at the club. Thus far, the sacking seems to have been a good one.
The Toffees have picked up 47 points during the current campaign under Ronald Koeman, which is what they amassed in total last season with 10 games to go.
Sutton said while speaking to BT Sport, “I really like Koeman. I like the job he did at Southampton. The last manager was a bit of a fantasist but they’ve got a realist in now.”
Koeman has done a good job thus far at the helm of Everton and has helped to bring out the best in Romelu Lukaku, who is now arguably one of the best strikers in world football. He has also helped unearth impressive potential future stars such as Ademola Lookman and Tom Davies.
