Since his loan move from Everton to Belgian team Waasland Beveren in January, Leandro Rodriguez has struggled for regular playing time.
The Liverpool Echo has reported that since arriving in the Belgian League to get more match experience, Rodriguez has only made the teams match day squad once.
The 24-year-old has struggled with injury setbacks and was unable to participate during the first month of his loan. He was an unused substitute’s during Beveren’s 3-2 defeat against Genk on Saturday.
The Uruguay international arrived at Goodison Park from River Plate Montevideo for a fee of £500,000 but has only made one senior team appearance since his arrival.
After being demoted to the club’s under 23-team, he also struggled for game time for the reserve team and only featured during pre-season games.
If Rodriguez wishes to earn himself a future at Everton, he will have to start playing impressively soon.
