According to a Liverpool insider, the Reds will be making a big and bold move in the summer to try and sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt come the summer.
Among other topics, his words about the German youngster were pretty encouraging in a time of caution for fans of the Anfield side.
Speaking to Anfield Edition, James Pearce said that “Klopp rates Brandt very highly and Liverpool will certainly go all out to get him this summer.” He also added that the German manager Jurgen Klopp had attempted to sign him during the January window.
Brandt is just 20 years old, but he’s taken on a big role for Bayer Leverkusen and is thought to be a star in the making in a crowded German side. Brandt has been one of the few stars on Bayer’s side to do well this term, and it may lead to his chance to leave the club now.
With manager Roger Schmidt now gone, Leverkusen could lose a number of stars. They’re not exactly out of the relegation fight yet, mind you, so this story could spin further out of control. Either way, you just feel like this might actually be the one that the Reds get pushed over the line and sealed come July.
