Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce’s side are on a bit of a up tick, in large part due to the lack of strength in the sides they’ve faced. But he’s also had a heck of a time dealing with injuries of late.
However, he’s given the supporters some good news today by confirming that Scott Hogan, the striker that they spent a good chunk of money on, is recovering much quicker than originally thought.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Bruce said “There’s good news involving Hogan, he might be available for us soon.” This is a little earlier than the full month out that was said to have been the case.
This is very good for Villa as they’ve had an injury crisis that’s kept several big names out. They’ve had trouble fielding a true striker at times, in fact, due to the absences of Hogan and Gabby Agbonlahor.
If Villa can continue to get healthy and continue to gel together as a team, they should be fine going forward into next season.
