Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci is currently enjoying his loan spell at Serie A side Empoli.
And if the recent comments from his agent Michelangelo Minieri are any indication then it appears that the 27-year-old won’t be coming back to Elland Road following the conclusion of his loan spell.
He told Italian website Calciomercato24: “At Leeds, it has been two years and it was a very important and beautiful experience that has allowed him to grow as much. He has had the opportunity to compete in a major championship especially from the physical point of view. It was a wonderful experience.
“He will definitely stay in Serie A, but obviously now we just finish off with Empoli and attain salvation, then there will be time to plan for the future.”
The Italian had joined the Whites in a permanent move worth around £1.6 million from Catania in the summer of 2014. He made an immediate impact at the Championship club following his move.
However, towards the end of the last season, he lost the backing of the fans following some high-profile errors throughout the season. He was subsequently dropped from the squad by then manager Steve Evans.
He was eventually allowed by current manager Garry Monk to leave the club and join Empoli on a loan move. He has been a regular at the Serie A club and has made 23 league appearances for them.
