Italian club make announcement about Leeds owner; Whites’ fans will not be pleased

Italian Serie B team Brescia have denied reports suggesting that Leeds United co-owner Massimo Cellino is interested in buying the team.

The Italian team released a statement saying: “In relation to the insistent news about the impending sale of the club, Giuseppe Pirola…declares that the club has not been sold and is not in any negotiations at the moment. In particular there is no contact, direct or indirect, with Cellino.”

After selling a 50 percent stake at the Whites to Andrea Radrizzani, many have begun to believe that he will leave the English club altogether over the coming months.

It is believed that Radrizzani who is the co-owner of media rights group MP & Silva will purchase full ownership during the summer.

Leeds fans who had been hoping that he leave the club altogether will not be happy about the announcement. However the club have exceeded expectations this season and not much blame can be laid on him.
