West Ham reportedly ready to swoop for £32million striker next summer

West Ham could be set to renew their interest in Christian Benteke with the striker set to reconsider his future with Crystal Palace according to a report from the Telegraph.

According to the Telegraph, the 26-year-old will decide whether or not to remain at Selhurst Park during the summer regardless of whether Palace are relegated.

Benteke is rumored to be frustrated at Palace after his £32 million move from Liverpool during the summer and may be viewed as a replacement for Andy Carroll, who may leave West Ham at the end of the campaign.

His most successful spell in football came during his time at Aston Villa where he netted 49 goals from 101 matches before having an unsuccessful spell with Liverpool.

Benteke has had mixed form for Palace netting 11 goals from 28 matches and has been poor since Sam Allardyce arrived, having not netted in his last three matches. Benteke is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and it may be worthwhile for the Hammers to view him as a replacement for Carroll.
