Report: Koeman ready to bid for £20million-rated England international next summer

The Mirror have claimed that Everton boss Ronald Koeman is optimistic that his club will complete the signing of Burnley star Michael Keane during the summer.

Koeman will certainly be looking to boost his defence this summer as Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are both well into their 30’s. Ramiro Funes Mori has also displayed unconvincing performances at times and needs competition for his place.

Keane has impressed for Burnley this season, so much so that England manager Gareth Southgate called him up to the national team.

Everton certainly do have a good chance of signing Keane if they offer the right sum of money. He has only one year left on his contract and should be tempted by the move as Everton are a progressing team under Koeman.

The Everton boss is confident of landing Keane who will cost in the region of £20 million. The good form of the Toffee’s continued this weekend as they defeated basement club Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday.
