Rangers Football Club have a very storied past in Scotland in Europe in general. But that past has seen a lot of unnecessary pressure applied to them. After being forced to work their way back up the ladder, they were thought to have come through the worst of it.
But, that doesn’t appear to be the case as this season is showing. This season has seen manager Mark Warburton be sacked, and the club are currently not even second in the table. They’ve barely beaten minnows, and there have been ridiculous boardroom mix-ups.
And now, it looks like they’ll continue to be without a manager for a third week running. It appears that caretaker boss Graeme Murty will be in charge at Inverness on Friday night yet again.
This search is likely to drag out because of the dysfunction that is currently taking place at the club. Which manager would want to go there? It’d be one thing to have a club willing to buy at least some middling level of player. But that’s not even happening.
Don’t expect an answer to Celtic’s signing of Brendan Rodgers. They’ll be no De Boer or Louis van Gaal walking through that door.
