Everton reportedly eyeing a move for 30-year-old Premier League winner

Kasper Schmeichel

According to the Daily Mirror, Everton have made Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel a target as their possible first choice goalkeeper next season.

The 29-year-old has been Leicester’s best player this term in what has been a disastrous season so far for the defending to Champions as they attempt to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Koeman signed Maarten Stekelenburg to fill in the void left by former goalkeeper Tim Howard; however the Netherlands international ended up losing his place to Joel Robles whose contract is also set to expire at the end of next season.

Leicester are currently just one point and one place above the relegation places. Should they be relegated, they are likely to lose a number of players possibly for prices below their market value.

An Everton approach could definitely tempt Schmeichel considering that they are a team who may be able to challenge for trophies in the coming years.
