Leighton Baines believes that Everton are starting to display the consistency created through the hard work of manager Ronald Koeman.
In 2017, the Toffees have been the best performing Premier League team according to statistics as they have taken 14 points from the last six matches.
Baines believes that the increased aggression and physicality of the teams play is due to Koeman wanting his side to play that way.
“What we’ve shown comes from the manager. Of course, it takes time but the team starts to reflect the manager out on the pitch,” said Baines. “The manager wants intensity, a bit of aggression and good football as well.
“We can improve in all of those departments – you always can – but I think he has been more pleased in what he is seen in that respect [recently].”
Baines also hailed the form of red-hot striker Romelu Lukaku. who has notched seven goals from seven matches in 2017.
