Premier League star in surprising Celtic admission

Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has made a surprising admission about Scottish giants Celtic.

The Germany international has admitted that Celtic Park served the best atmosphere he has ever witnessed in a football game.

The 26-year-old, who is currently missing from action due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, was a part of Pep Guardiola’s side which drew 3-3 with the Hoops at Celtic Park in the Champions League group game back in September.

Gundogan made the admission during a Twitter Q&A today. The German revealed that the memories of that game still give him goose bumps.

His answer is certainly a matter of pride for Celtic fans as Gundogan is no stranger to playing in front of vociferous crowds. He spent five years at Borussia Dortmund, who are also famous for their home support at Signal Iduna Park.

Gundogan, who made 16 appearances for City in all competitions this week, is not expected to return to the pitch this season.
