Red-hot Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been declared fit for the Merseyside clubs game against Sunderland next weekend.
For the Black Cats, this will not be good news especially as Lukaku has been clinical in front of goal this season and he also notched a hat-trick against them in September at the Stadium of Light.
After suffering his injury, Lukaku opted not to travel with the Everton squad on their tour of Dubai and rather went for calf treatment in his home country of Belgium.
Kevin Mirallas and James McCarthy, who were on the radar of the Black Cats during the January transfer window, have also been declared fit to play.
“We know that for 10 days Rom has had some problems with his calf,” Koeman told his club’s official website. He has a lot of confidence in the Belgian doctor and I gave him permission to go to Belgium and recover.”
Everton will go into the match as favorites to win.
