Projected: Leeds United to narrowly make playoff spots

As we move in to the latter stages of the football season, the race for promotion is heating up in Championship.

Newcastle United and Brighton have found themselves occupying the automatic promotion spots for most the season, but it appears that David Wagner’s Huddersfield will give them a run for their money in the coming weeks.

Even the competition for the play-off spots is heating up with the likes of Norwich City, Fulham, and Derby County not prepared to give up on promotion hopes just yet.

Famous football statistics website Squawka have now taken a bold step to predict how the table will look come May.

Squawka are backing Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle to lift the trophy with 96 points with Brighton close behind them at 93 points.

Huddersfield Town claim the third spot with 83 points, and Sheffield Wednesday have been backed to come fourth with 80 points.

Reading will slip down to fifth and end the season with 76 points while Leeds United will nick the last playoff spot ahead of Norwich City by a solitary point. The predicted table is backing the Whites to finish the season with 74 points.
