Koeman delivers huge fitness news regarding Romelu Lukaku

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has provided an update on the injury of star forward Romelu Lukaku by stating that he expects him to return to training next week.

Due to the injury, the Belgian has not travelled with the club on its Dubai training camp but rather flown to his home country for calf treatment.

In what will certainly be good news for Evertonians, Koeman is adamant that Lukaku will be part of the squad that plays Sunderland in the Merseyside clubs next match.

“We know that for 10 days Rom has had some problems with his calf,” Koeman told Everton TV.

“He has a lot of confidence in the Belgian doctor and I gave him permission to go to Belgium and recover. We expect him, normally, next Tuesday to be joining in the training session. He will be fit and available for the weekend.”

Koeman has also said that he expects James McCarthy as well as Kevin Mirallas to be back to full fitness by next week.
