After a promising season thus far, Anderlecht youngster Youri Tielemans has been touted as one of the up and coming talented Belgian players.
In 34 appearances this season, the 19-year-old has bagged 14 goals and notched nine assists which has attracted the interest of clubs across Europe, including Premier League outfit Everton.
Tielemans himself was reportedly asked about the potential move to Toffees and did not rule it out saying, “What Marc [Wilmots] says, it’s good to not burn steps and to avoid ending up on the bench and not getting game time. It’s what’s best for every footballer, I think.”
Should Ronald Koeman stay at Everton during the summer, the Toffees will stand a very good chance of signing Tielemans.
Koeman’s reputation of giving youngsters regular game time and assisting them in becoming class acts as he did with Ademola Lookman and Tom Davies will surely be appealing to the youngster. If Koeman stays, an offer will also probably be made during the summer.
