Norwich continued their push to reach the Championship play-offs as they scored three goals within the space of eight minutes in the first half to march on to a 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Jonny Howson opened the scoring for the home team in the 10th minute before Josh Murphy struck from a tight angle to double the lead. Wes Hoolahan added the third with an impressive strike from outside the box.
The Canaries added two more goals in second half via a brace from Alex Pritchard. For Forest, the only consolation was that they could salvage from the game was that Ross McCormack scored his first goal for the club.
For the away team, it was a shambolic display. Captain Eric Lichaj was red-carded midway through the second half after receiving a second yellow card. For Norwich the win sees them continue their impressive run of form at home as they have now won six out of their seven last home encounters.
