In what has to be a cruel joke, Rangers announced Friday that Mark Warburton had resigned as manager.
Rangers has accepted the resignations of manager Mark Warburton, assistant David Weir & the Club’s head of recruitment Frank McParland.

Warburton then fired back saying that he had not in fact resigned his post as manager of the famous Scottish club. Either way, Warburton is no longer at the club and they are now going into a Scottish Cup tie without a true manager with only a couple of days to prepare.
What a circus of wild and crazy events here. Warburton, according to some reports out there supposedly was interested in other jobs. For me, I don’t blame him.
It’s been well known that he’s been having run-ins with the board for some time now, and he’ll have been anxious about, you know, eating after all.
This whole thing has lost all common sense. The club surely haven’t thought this through very well, but it’s happened and they must move on now. Now, we’ll see how much compensation he is due. That’s sure to be quite the battle as well, especially since Rangers are in a bit of financial trouble at the moment!
