Tom Beading and Andrew Nelson, who left Sunderland on loan, have been encouraged to use their opportunities on loan to impress.
Beading signed for League one club Bury last month while Nelson joined Hartlepool. The players will certainly be aiming to impress the Sunderland staff during their loans with a view to making the Black Cats senior team in the near future.
The duo will remain at the respective clubs until the end of the season, which will certainly give them enough game time to prove to the Sunderland bosses whether they are first team material or not.
Nelson in particular, looked impressive during Hartlepool’s 1-1 draw with Yeovil Town and Sunderland coach, Eliott Dickman, has said that these opportunities will allow the players to develop and grow.
He said, “It is important that some of the players have that opportunity. Luckily for those two lads it’s great that they have come up through our academy ranks, worked hard and now they can experience some different with the two clubs.”
