Liverpool finally ban The Sun

Anfield

According to the Independent, The Sun has acknowledged that they have been banned from all Liverpool Football Club matches and all premises owned by the club starting immediately.

The report states that credentials from any Sun reporters “will not be approved,” before going onto say that they will have no access to interviews with any players or with manager Jurgen Klopp himself.

This has been a long time coming, and it’s something that has needed to happen. The Sun made up “facts” and the “truth” in their reporting of the Hillsborough disaster long ago. That report claimed that Liverpool and its fans were to blame for the 96 people that died on that fateful day.

This is obviously influenced by the families of those 96 that perished, and they are correct in this manner. There is no need to involve the Sun any longer.

They constantly publish half-truths outside of this case, anyway. Good riddance, and I suggest that all other clubs follow Liverpool’s lead here.
