Celtic are in talks with goalkeeper Craig Gordon over a new deal with improved wages, reports Daily Mail.
The 34-year-old is an integral part of manager Brenan Rodgers’ squad at Parkhead, and Rodgers wants to make sure that it remains that way for next few years.
The Scotland international was a subject of Chelsea’s interest late in January window, but a move never materialised.
His current deal with the Hoops expires in 2018, but the club have already started negotiations with his representatives over a new deal to secure his future at the club.
Gordon became the most expensive goalkeeper in British football when Sunderland paid £9 million to sign him form Hearts in 2007.
He spent next five years with the Black Cats, but the later of his spell was disrupted by injuries. The goalkeeper spent next two years battling against his injuries before he joined the Celts as a free agent in 2014.
