Report: Bournemouth complete the late signing of Everton target

Bournemouth reportedly signed Everton target Aaron Ramsdale just before the transfer deadline for a fee in excess of £1 million according to Sky Sports sources.

Everton also reportedly made a bid for the young goalkeeper with two hours remaining of the transfer window which was declined.

The 18 year old Ramsdale had been with Bolton Wanderers before graduating through the ranks of Sheffield United and he had reportedly been touted for a place in the starting line-up.

Ramsdale appears to have a bright future ahead of him, having already featured two times for the Sheffield United first team.

He was Bournemouth’s first signing of the transfer window. The club had also been interested in landing Asmir Begovic during the transfer window which did not take place.

Sheffield do have an illustrious history of producing quality youth talent with the likes of Phil Jagielka, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Matthew Lowton and Stephen Quinn all coming through the ranks.
