A very enticing match for week 3 of the Copa Corona MX will be when Monterrey hosts Dorados de Sinaloa at the Estadio BBVA Bancomer this Wednesday, February 1, 2017 (5:00 PM Pacific). Both teams did utilize some key players in their first matches in the tournament, which should make for a good game, if they do the same in this match.
Antonio Mohamed’s men have looked shaky in the Liga MX, having secured six points in four jornadas. The ‘rayados’ started off their Copa MX campaign taking three points from F.C. Juarez, despite the win, they did only win 1-0 and they utilized many key players in the encounter. Including Alexander Dominguez, Cesar Montes, Luis Fuentes, Walter Ayovi, Edwin Cardona, Jesus Molina and Yimmi Chara.
It is very likely that a few of these players will feature again in this match-up. The most interesting players to watch out for in this game for Antonio Mohamed will be Yimmi Chara, Walter Gargano and Edwin Cardona. Monterrey do have plenty of depth within their roster and they can take this tournament without even using any major starters.
Dorados carry some intriguing players within their roster that they utilized in the Copa MX, some names include Jose Maria ‘el chema’ Cardenas and Fernando Arce Jr. Another very interesting player that Gabriel Caballero does count with is Christian Lara, who is 36-years-old and has been playing professionally since 1997, but just reached Mexican football for the first time in his career in 2017. Lara’s career was mostly in his native Ecuador, finding success and making appearances for the National team from 2002-2008. The game does heavily favor the host, Monterrey, but it should be an interesting match.
