According to reports the Guardian’s Ed Aarons, Leeds United have joined the race to sign League 2 striker Omar Bogle. Leeds are said to be keen to sign the player before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
The Whites are currently doing well in the Championship in third place and Gary Monk is looking for reinforcements to help ensure that his team gains promotion to the Premier League next season.
Bogle has had a good season so far, netting 19 goals across all competitions. Rottherham who are also interested in the player are said to have failed with their bid off £800,000.
Norwich City who are also looking to gain a place in the Championship playoffs are also believed to be trying to lure Bogle with their strikers misfiring this season.
The prospect of playing in the Premier League next season will surely be appealing to Bogle and since Leeds have a good chance of gaining promotion next season, one can assume that he should fancy moving there.
