The most attractive game of Week 4 of the Liga MX Clausura 2017 will be Pachuca hosting Toluca at the Estadio Hidalgo this Saturday, January 28, 2017 (5:06 PM Pacific). Both teams are early contenders for the title and will surely put on a great display in this match. Both teams are also coming off surprising losses which must motivate them to get the three points this week.
The ‘tuzos’ are coming off a shocking 1-0 loss against Necaxa last week at the Estadio Victoria. Diego Alonso’s men had a poor performance in Aguascalientes as they only managed to get three shots on target. Before that in week 2, Pachuca also barely beat relegation candidates Chiapas by the minimum score of 1-0. The win would solidify Pachuca and really make them true candidates for the title once again. Obviously, the key player to watch is Hirving Lozano who seems to be spending the rest of this Clausura 2017 tournament in the Liga MX with Pachuca.
Toluca had been one of the most impressive sides in the Liga MX before their unexpected loss to Chiapas 1-0 at home at the renovated, Estadio Nemesio Diez. Even so Hernan Cristante’s side still had two enormous victories before that loss to Jaguares, first a 4-1 battering against Atlas in week 1, then a 2-1 dominant performance over Club America.
The ‘diablos’ are still a top contender in this league with new signings Gabriel Hauche and Rubens Sambueza leading the way for the club. Another interesting thing to look at in this match will be the goalkeeper duel between Alfredo Talavera and Oscar ‘El Conejo’ Perez. Both goalkeepers are among the best Mexican goalies in the Liga MX and it should be interesting to see if they can make an impact for their teams in this match. The match is expected to be one of the best of the Jornada and of the Clausura 2017 in general, a must watch.
