Manchester United are lining up a summer bid for 20 year old Tottenham midfielder, Dele Alli, according to a report from the Sun (via football insider Vincent Rodriguez). A potential deal would likely cost in the range of £100M, and would not be completed until the summer transfer window.
Vincent Rodriguez says that Tottenham would be willing to sell their young star to Manchester United, but only if they receive a massive transfer fee.
Dele Alli is a fantastic player who has scored 11 goals in 21 league games so far this season. In addition to his goal scoring, Dele Alli also provides a strong defensive contribution, so he is a complete player and would be a great addition to Manchester United.
Manchester United certainly have shown a willingness to spend big money, so despite the enormous transfer fee, a deal sending Dele Alli to Old Trafford is not out of the question.
I expect Manchester United to make a major splash during the summer transfer window, as they seem determined to make big signings, and it seems like Dele Alli could be their major signing for the summer of 2017.
