According to the Stoke Sentinel, Tony Pulis has pushed aside any hard feelings he once had with former club Stoke City by stating that he has a “soft spot for Stoke.”  Pulis, a manager that has never been relegated in his entire career has been central to Stoke City in the past week as well.

The current West Brom boss Pulis has just sold striker Saido Berahino to his former club, and he’s also taken the time to talk about that by saying that “they’ve got a good player” and that Berahino needs to forget about all of the past and just work on his football.

Pulis is absolutely correct.  Berahino has all of the potential in the world to do well in this game.  But, he’s got to improve his attitude and forget about the past.  If this whole ordeal is allowed to cloud his career, he’ll never reach the heights that he was capable of.

Stoke City and manager Mark Hughes will have to nurture their new striker both on and off the field.  Berahino, though, isn’t a Balotelli, so this shouldn’t be nearly as hard as it may sound.  In the end, this move is going to benefit all parties.

West Brom are going to be able to go out and splash some cash on a new striker, one would presume.  Stoke now have a centerpiece attacker to build around that is young and agile.  And Berahino finally gets a fresh start.  What a relief to see that everyone has had this saga work out for them.
