According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn are interested in securing the services of Celtic center back Efe Ambrose. Ambrose, a 28 year old Nigerian international, has been part of the side that Brendan Rodgers have totally froze out of the team.
Everyone had the feeling that Rodgers would make a few players essentially obsolete, and he’s done exactly that with Ambrose this season. Ambrose had been a key player for Celtic since his move from Israeli football in 2010. Now, it looks like he will have to move in order to get playing time.
Blackburn Rovers, currently fighting relegation from England’s Championship, are in desperate need of help. And apparently they are turning to Ambrose to try and help them out of the muck.
Ambrose can be quite the physical threat, both in the attack and is defense, when he is in form. But he’s also been known to make mistakes. So, if this move does get done it could either make Rovers sink or swim.
