Manchester United are reportedly plotting a whopping £70million summer transfer splash for Monaco star Bernardo Silva, per The Sun.
Earlier this week, we understood that Real Madrid are also interested in the services of the playmaker, but now, it seems like Jose Mourinho is ready to face a transfer fight with his old club.
Jose Mourinho will be looking to fire up his options in the playmaker position to feed his star strikers, and the young Monaco star might be the perfect player to fill in the position. Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is also the representative of Jose Mourinho, and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Silva is one of the rising stars in Portugal, but was left out of the Euro 2016 squad due to thigh injury. Since his return to club-level football, he has scored 4 goals, and has provided 4 assists.
The 22-year-old playmaker might play at Manchester United by the start of next season, and will definitely provide the required depth in the squad, which Manchester United have been missing over the couple of seasons. Still too early to call this transfer, Manchester United fans should definitely not expect this to happen anytime soon.
