Leeds United prepared to sell their star player for £15m- report

Leeds vs Port Vale

Leeds United are prepared to sell their star striker Chris Wood this month if an interested club is ready to pay £15m. Recent reports had claimed that West Ham United and Sunderland are both interested in the New Zealand international.

However, according to ESPN, the Whites have slapped a price tag of £15m on the 25-year-old to ward off approaches from the interested clubs. ESPN also claims that the sources close to the player have confirmed that both Premier League clubs have been put off by Leeds’ valuation of their player.

Wood has been in incredible form for the Whites this season, as they push for promotion to the Premier League.

He has scored 17 goals in 29 games in all competitions for Gary Monk’s side this season. Leeds signed Wood from Leicester City for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5 to £3 million in the summer of 2015.
