Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is planning to seek help from his former employers following a recent injury crisis at the Championship club. The Magpies lost the likes of Dwight Gayle, Isaac Hayden and Vurnon Anita to injuries in the recent win over Brentford and are desperate to add bodies to their squad this month.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has already been ruled out for two weeks after picking up a knee injury in the FA Cup clash with Birmingham City.
The Northern Echo claims that Benitez has identified Liverpool’s young winger Seyi Ojo as a possible recruitment on a loan move this month.
However, the report claims that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reluctant on letting the 19-year-old leave due to an apparent lack of depth in his squad.
During the last two seasons, Ojo has had loan spells with Championship clubs Wigan Athletic and Wolves. This season, his only senior appearance came in the goalless FA Cup draw with Plymouth Argyle earlier this month.
