Celtic attacker could extend his deal at Scottish Championship side

Kris Commons has admitted, according to Sky Sports, that he would be happy to extend his loan at Hibernian for the remainder of the season. Commons, 33, is fresh off scoring the winning goal for them and is keen to help them gain promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

Hibernian’s current manager is Neil Lennon, the man that Celtic let go in order to bring Brendan Rodgers in as manager. Commons was a big player under Lennon, but he’s had no such chances under Rodgers, who has sought to completely change the club.

Commons literally hasn’t played for Rodgers since he arrived, and it’s looking like he never will. Commons is out of contract in the summer, and it’s hard to see Rodgers bringing him back just to make him sit on the bench until the end of the season.

Expect this loan deal to be completed shortly. And then expect Commons to stay with Hibs, as he’s apparently very happy there.
