Liverpool and Adam Lallana’s success seem to be intertwined this season. So it should come as no surprise that sides from all over are looking at taking the 28-year-old away from Anfield. According to the Times, Barcelona and Juventus have joined PSG in the race to sign the England man.
Lallana is a very special player as he is truly one of a kind in terms of English players. There is no English player with better technique and the know-how to press. It is for this reason, likely, that Barcelona are interested as they appear to be getting ready to dump Ivan Rakitic.
Lallana, under Klopp, has found success playing in a deeper role. His pressing from there has driven his team out of tight spots. His finishing has also improved markedly this season, which has led to PSG and Juventus also being interested.
It’s hard to say for sure, but it is difficult to see Lallana leaving. Despite his skill, he’d be one of the few British players to move abroad. The pressure would be very high on him instantly in a foreign land. He also looks to be at his best with Klopp, so unless Barcelona truly want him as a starter, it’s likely he’ll stay at Anfield and continue to grow.
