Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano is by far the best Mexican footballer who is not yet in Europe. Lozano recently scored a hat-trick in his latest match and is in one of the best forms of his career. The 21-year old star winger has proved that he may just be the best player in Liga MX and that has not been unnoticed as it has been reported by ESPNDeportes that the player has been sought after by Eredivisie giants Ajax. Today Marco Garces, Club Pachuca’s sports director, commented on Lozano and whether the rumors about him going to Ajax are true.
Garces stated that they do have a plan to sell Lozano to a European club in 2017. The interesting thing, however is that Pachuca’s Sports Director did say that the rumors of Lozano going to Ajax, were just that–rumors. Garces said that Ajax has not made an approach to reach Club Pachuca or the services of the young player.
The sports director also mentioned that no offer for Lozano has been made at all to this point by any team in European football. The reassuring thing is that Club Pachuca do intend to eventually sell “Chucky” to a European club, so Lozano’s career can truly prosper.
