Championship side Aston Villa have registered an interest in highly-rated Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney. The Mirror claims that Villa manager Steve Bruce is a fan of the player since their time together at Hull and wants to bring him to Villa Park this month.
Since joining the Cottagers from Blackburn in 2015, the 25-year-old has become one of the best midfielders in the league.
He has scored five goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances for the Cottagers this season and has attracted interests from multiple clubs.
Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in the player, and Villa will face tough competition from the Magpies if the player becomes available in the market.
The left-footed midfielder is reportedly valued at £10m by his club.
His value shouldn’t be a problem for Bruce, as another report from the Mirror claims that he has been handed a £25m transfer kitty to spend this month.
