Speaking to Sport Bild in Germany, Bayer Leverkusen center back Jonathan Tah has stated that he’s fine with staying in Germany. The 20 year old has been highly thought of by many clubs in recent months, and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have been linked with the youngster of late.
Tah is a lot like former Schalke man Joel Matip, whom Liverpool signed last winter on a free transfer.
Tah is big, strong, and quick for a defender, but the key is his ability with the ball at his feet as well. It is this combination that has made the German so attractive to Klopp and others.
Tah says he wants to stay and help Bayer fight back into European contention, as they are currently in 9th and out of the running for that. It looks like he’ll be staying for now, but if Bayer drop any further, we could be seeing him move in the next couple of seasons to a much bigger club.
