According to the Mirror, Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen on bringing in on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in the summer as he looks to mold his side into his image. The 25-year-old was allowed to join Bournemouth for the season as Arsene Wenger didn’t have plans to use him due to fitness concerns.
Wilshere has proven to be a big player for Bournemouth in more ways than one. Not only has his quality shown, but he has also helped inspire his fellow teammates. Everton boss Koeman is now eager to try and make him a Toffee after his loan spell finishes.
It’s reported that he will only have 12 months or so left on his contract at the end of the season, and it is for this reason that Everton will likely swoop. Despite Koeman’s need for a new central midfield partnership, this one seems a little unlikely.
Arsene Wenger admitted that he wished he hadn’t shipped out Wilshere, so that leads one to think Arsenal are going to try to keep him at the club. If Wilshere decides to leave, though, Everton would be a good destination.
