Despite all of the rumors of West Ham, Liverpool, and various other Premier League clubs chasing after Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, reports from Sportsmail indicate that the 19 year old is eager to remain at Celtic for the time being.
After switching Craven Cottage for Celtic Park in the summer, Dembele has become an important part of Brendan Rodgers’ undefeated Scottish Premier League side. Dembele fired home a tremendous volley against Rangers last week, and he’s said to be very happy where is.
The Frenchman, apparently, likes the attention and coaching of Rodgers, and he’s very keen to remain with him in order to further his development as a player. You’ve got to commend Dembele here for doing what is best for his career. A move to West Ham right now could be disastrous as that club is a dumpster fire.
The likelihood of this being true is very high. Rodgers has his faults, but he’s proven to be very good with young players. And to top it off, both Dembele and Celtic would receive much higher compensation by waiting until summer!
