Liverpool reportedly ready to pay the desired amount for £21 million-rated striker

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Premier League title contenders Liverpool are ready to splash the cash in order to secure the services of PSG attacker Jese Rodriguez in January.

Many felt that Paris Saint-Germain had managed to pull off a coup by securing the services of Jese Rodriguez from Real Madrid this summer for a fee believed to be in the region of around £21 million.

Considered a wonderfully talented player, Jese was expected to shine at the Parc des Princes but six months on from the transfer, it has to be said that the move to the French capital has not quite worked out for the 23-year-old.

Jese has struggled for regular playing time on the pitch so far this season, with manager Unai Emery handing him only 261 minutes of action in the French Ligue 1 and it is clear to see that the Spaniard is viewed as no more than a fringe player at the club.

Jese heading into Liverpool?

Due to the lack of opportunities coming his way, Jese is believed to be open to leaving PSG during the upcoming January transfer window and a host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the former Real Madrid Castilla star.

Now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, claims have been made that Premier League title contenders Liverpool are currently considering a swoop for Jese this winter.

Liverpool will be losing Sadio Mane in January due to the African Cup of Nations and manager Jurgen Klopp is said to have viewed Jese as the ideal replacement for the Senegalese international, with the German ready to splash the cash to lure the attacker to Anfield in January.
