Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, attacker Willian has gone on to reveal that he is sad to see Oscar leaving Stamford Bridge for China.
The revolution in Chinese football continued after Shanghai SIPG completed the signing of Chelsea star Oscar for a fee believed to be in the region of around a staggering £60 million.
In addition to the huge transfer price, Oscar is expected to be receiving around £400,000-per-week in China and the Brazilian attacker has been elevated to one of the highest paid footballers in the world due to the whopping wage package offered by Shanghai SIPG.
On solely monetary basis, the deal is a very good one for both Oscar and Chelsea but at the same time, the Blues will be losing a very popular member of the squad.
Willian saddened by Oscar’s departure
Now Chelsea star Willian has gone on to speak regarding the departure of Oscar and has stated that he is very sad to see his compatriot and close friend leave Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian international said, “Oscar is a very good friend and I’m very sad to see him leave, but he’s happy so I’m happy. He’s going to play in China so I just want to wish him the best of luck.
“We will keep in touch, it doesn’t matter if he’s in China and I’m here. When I first arrived he helped me a lot, no doubt about that, so I want to say thank you to him for everything he did for me.”
