Controversial Manchester United star’s future at Old Trafford in question

Fellaini

Manchester United midfield Marouane Fellaini is a January loan target for West Ham, according to the London Evening Standard.

The report claims West Ham boss Slaven Bilic believes Fellaini would add some much-needed physicality to his team and has identified the 29-year-old as a leading January target.

The former Everton man, whose current contract at Old Trafford is due to expire in the summer of 2018, could leave the 20-time English champions as early as January as a result of his abysmal cameo against Everton last Sunday.

Fellaini came on as a late substitute at Goodison Park when United were protecting a 1-0 lead and ended up conceding a penalty in the 89th minute, which lead to his team dropping two more points in the league.

Fellaini’s foul on Idrissa Gueye enraged the Manchester United fans and social media has been flooded by negative comments about the controversial midfielder.

It’s still unclear whether Jose Mourinho will punish Fellaini for his lack of concentration and defensive awareness, but the Belgian leaving Old Trafford next month seems like the most likely conclusion at this point.
