Manchester United Possible Lineup against Everton: Mkhitaryan will start

Mkhitaryan

Coming off an impressive 4-1 victory over West Ham in the League Cup on Wednesday, Manchester United will have to travel to Goodison Park to face off with Everton.

Here’s a look at the possible lineup.

GK- David de Gea

De Gea did not have a great game against West Ham on Wednesday, but he has a proven track record of being a top goalkeeper. There is no reason for him to lose his place in the starting lineup.

LB- Daley Blind

Luke Shaw started on Wednesday, but was unimpressive before he was subbed off for Daley Blind. Blind has played well at left back this season, and he appears to be a better option than Shaw to start there at this point.

CB- Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones

Rojo and Jones have continuously been paired together in recent weeks, and for the most part they have done well together. Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly remained injured, so Rojo and Jones would figure to have a very good chance to start together once again this weekend.

RB- Antonio Valencia

Valencia has been one of Manchester United’s best players all season long, and he tallied an assist on Wednesday. He will be in the lineup against Everton.

CM- Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba

This duo has been one of the strong points for Manchester United this season, and they both deserve to be in the starting lineup on a weekly basis. Herrera is a great defender who leads the team in interceptions per game, while Pogba leads the team in key passes and dribbles completed per game.

AML- Anthony Martial

Martial scored twice on Wednesday, so that could be enough to get him back in the starting lineup again on Sunday. Manchester United has not gotten great production at this position this season, so it would make sense to give Martial a chance.

AMC- Juan Mata

Mata is a great attacking player who creates goal scoring opportunities with his great passing and creativity. Mata did not start on Wednesday, but with Wayne Rooney suspended, it would be very surprising if Mata was not back in the starting lineup against Everton.

AMR- Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Mkhitaryan had two assists in a strong performance on Wednesday, which should be enough to get him another start against Everton. He may finally be getting his chance to prove himself to the Manchester United coaching staff after getting off to a slow start with his new team.

ST- Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan scored twice on Wednesday, and he appears to be in great form. He now has scored 5 goals in his last 4 games, so hopefully he can keep up the good work with another strong performance on Sunday.
